Cannot install roxio creator 2009

I plan to take the computer to the person that solved the BSOD and have him perform the clean uninstall and reinstall. Will definitely post the results of the effort. Will do as described. Forgot one thing. It's a suggestion. Why not include the. If this isn't possible, can the NET Framework infomation be attached as an addendum, or other such thing? For example, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Creator a number of times before I found the references about deleting.

NET framework files. Concerned about what is being deleted using the "Complete Uninstall of Creator ", I did a dry run of the uninstall steps.

Everything seemed without any hitches until I got to Step 5. Under Step I'm not quite ready to delete everything related to these four slide shows.

For example, if the Roxio folder is deleted under item 6 on the list of folders to be deleted, this will delete a the subfolder "VideoWave11" along with the sub-folder "Images". The "Images" folder contains several jpeg images that were used in the slide productions. I can't explain why they are in this folder. First, can this folder not be deleted and still be able to sucessfully install Creator 09?

Will the slide show productions find them if it is decided that I want to make modifications to the production? Under the same step 5, but now with the 8th item on the list of folders to delete. Right clicking and opening this folder opens the MyDVD program and shows the intro to one of the slide show projects.

How will deleting this affect the slide show project? Or, can this folder be left undeleted? What is "QBLoadonly"? You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Read this. The link go to SP4 but that also includes everythign in the rpevious service packs. Backontrack programme bundled with the Creator applications works ok - but Creator itself i. Well, after all that and I tried uninstalling and re-installing using the links in the forums - no joy I don't have the energy to go through the complete process described in my first post on this topic.

Boy your quick at replying! I appreciate that Actually I read through previous posts and I have tried deleting the 3. I will try it again though! Quick answering - truth to tell, I'm siting running 'CQ' on the 40 meter band and watching my screen at the same time. Okay I did delete the dotNet Framework 3.

There is still a Framework 1. Is it okay to leave it on there? After the deleting the other two versions I created a new Administrative User Account and tried installing Creator It appeared to install and even said that it installed successfully, but I couldn't locate it on the computer and it did not create a desktop icon. I bought this program earlier this week so I could make a family video from pictures for my friend's 90th birthday party tomorrow. So I'm under a little pressure to get the project complete I appreciate everyone's input though! We're getting there - very slowly. We're past the 'install interrupted' stage. One more thing for you to try - follow this guide step by step after you have uninstalled dotNET 2 and 3 1 is fine - no problem there. I inadvertently gave you the wrong link last time and there are a couple of minor differences in registry keys I think.

After that - make a folder anywhere on the computer and copy the DVD contents into it and then go there and run setup. Well I went through those steps, copied the disk to a folder on my Desktop then tried to install Creator from the desktop folder. Can I have a back up set of Roxio installation CD?
