This is the third installment, and it is very different from its predecessors.

If the last two games were a mix of action and platformer with a side view, then the threequel radically changed the genre. It became a first person shooter. Returning to Los Angeles after completing a mission, an American government special agent catches an alien attack.

Atomic Duke takes up arms and begins destroying aliens determined to abduct Earth women. In close combat, the hero can kick enemies. And from afar he shoots foes with pistol, rocket launcher, shotgun, devastator, machine gun. There is also a freezer, shrinker, laser mines, radio-controlled bombs. The game contains blood and meat. Humor is also available. They announced this conversion of the game like it was some sort of huge comeback for the Amiga.

Remember, by then the game was so old the source code had long been made available to the public. The entire cover excitedly announcing the port a seven-years old game in huge letters made me cringe.

View all comments Looks great too. I'd love to be able to play it on an Amiga. I loved this on the PC. That's a shame Amiga owners couldn't have that same kind of thing with this. It really is a gem of a game. Perhaps Amiga will make a comeback someday crazier things have happened with a computer that surpasses everything on the market from consoles to PCs it HAS happened, hee hee and the launch title will be a fully immersive with AR goggles exclusive version of Duke Nukem Forever.

You didn't see THAT comin did ya?! Is this for real?? Holly [email protected] t!! Mind you if you got a Peg then should be fine. Forget any PPC stuff lol.
